Ducted Evaporative Air Conditioning

Ducted Evaporative Cooling systems are energy efficient and cost effective. They cool your whole building at a fraction of the running costs of other systems, significantly reducing your energy costs.

By choosing an evaporative cooling system for your home, office, or business, you will have the complete comfort you need during those hot summer months – by using natural air and water.

Ducted evaporative air conditioning systems use a central, roof-mounted unit that draws fresh air through moistened pads. As it passes through these pads the air is cooled and filtered before flowing through the ceiling ducts and into your rooms. Compared to refrigerated air conditioning, the result is cheaper, fresher and completely natural air.

The units are beautifully designed, engineered to run quietly and will save you up to 80% on your electricity bills. They minimise water usage, are structurally strong and weather resistant, and produce up to 15% less CO2 greenhouse gases than some other cooling systems. Evaporative Cooling units come in a colour to suit most roofs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you can change the cooling in different areas of your house by changing where you have open windows and outside doors. If you close a window in a room and open the internal door, the cool air will move into other areas, where there is an external opening. We recommend experimenting with this to get the best out of your evaporative air conditioner, however, do remember that there has to be an exhaust opening to the outside of the house for the cooling to work properly.

Your evaporative cooling system can be used to remove unpleasant smells from your home. The best way to do this is to open the windows up a little more than usual and then start the evaporative air conditioner in “ventilation” mode on one of the higher fan speeds. This will exhaust the smells out of the building.

Yes, you can open your windows and outside doors fully however you may experience a reduction in the cooling effect if too much hot air enters your home. Best practice is to partially open windows or outside doors that are furthest away from the vents or ducts.

We recommend cleaning and servicing of your evaporative air conditioning system be carried out at the end of each summer season.

“Glow recently exchanged my evaporative and ducted heating system. The engineers who done the job where very polite, professional and knowledgeable. The before and after sales care from Brooke & Sandra is sensational, they can’t do enough. I would highly recommend them.”
